Sourced on our recent trip to France from a deconsecrated church, they are in beautiful condition and hold three candles each.

Dimensions:

Approx. 38cm high x 29cm wide x 14.5cm deep. Base 16.5 x 16.5 x 16.5cm’s.

Why we love it:

It’s wondrous to find a pair, that have once graced the altar with all the flowers still in place. The significance of the four flower heads is thought to represent the authors of the canonical Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) who spread the messages to the four corners of the earth. They are in good antique condition, patinaed by their considerable age, as seen in the pictures. Some of the stamens in the flowers have verdigrised. One of the flowers moves on its branch, but it can be positioned and its doesn’t affect the overall aesthetic. They will look stunning on a mantle or sideboard with candles lit, dripping wax.
Priced as a pair.

Complete the look with our 100% beeswax candles

Note:

All of our vintage pieces are in good working condition (unless noted otherwise) and show patina consistent with age, which adds to their beauty and character and is not considered a defect. Painstakingly sourced (and sometimes fragile) they are not able to be returned due to change of mind.
