Antique Lacquered box

Exquisite hand painted rectangular lacquered jewellery box with hinged lid.

Why we love it:

This beautiful antique Papier Mache box, has hand painted scenes of friends meeting at a country house and having tea. Featuring a decorated hinged lid, which opens and closes perfectly. This piece holds a quiet beauty, softened by time, its surfaces show patina and some losses that form part of its history. Please see all pics. A stunning piece to gift yourself or a loved one to store your treasures.

Note:

All of our vintage pieces are in good working condition (unless noted otherwise) and show patina consistent with age, which adds to their beauty and character and is not considered a defect.  Painstakingly sourced (and sometimes fragile) they are not able to be returned due to change of mind.
