Chinoiserie Paper Mache Plate Circa 1870’s

Sourced from a private collection in the UK, this beautiful old chinoiserie plate has a  scalloped edge. Depicting ceremonial scenes and botanicals, its black and gold colourway is evocative and classic. It wears its age graciously. It has a small pedestal, something to keep in mind if mounting on a wall.
