Rare 1930s Czech Fruit or Punch Bowl

Perfect for summer parties or fruit this old bowl is in excellent condition

Dimensions:

Approx.  34cm diameter, 15cm high, 3.8kgs

Why we love it:

This large heavy bowl is made from thick glass and is decorated in the geometric pattern known as Daisy and Button. Very faint letters are embossed on the base that show the word Tchecoslovaquie. It was made in the old Czechoslovakia in the 1930’s by the Libochovice Glassworks Company. It’s in excellent condition and would make a divine fruit or punch bowl. We love mixing antique glass, the kind of pieces your grandparents might bequeath, back with with modern servery to create a timeless tablescape.

Excellent condition. As can be expected with an item of this age there are fine scratches on the glass surface from use, but only noticeable under close inspection. No chips or cracks. Or discoloration.  Please look at the photos for a visual description.

Note:

All of our vintage pieces are in good working condition (unless noted otherwise) and show patina consistent with age, which adds to their beauty and character and is not considered a defect.  Painstakingly sourced (and sometimes fragile) they are not able to be returned due to change of mind.
