Manufactured by Porcelaine de Paris , a historic French company founded in 1773 known for producing high-quality tableware, vanity sets, and decorative objects. The series draws inspiration from 19th-century natural history illustrations. While named "Birds of America" (the title of John James Audubon's famous folio), French porcelain houses frequently adapted artwork from both Audubon and his predecessor, Buffon, to fit elegant ceramic forms.
